نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ

Yoruba Translation

Hausa Translation

Wutar Allah ce wadda ake hurawa.

(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze),
It is the fire kindled by Allah,
(It is) the fire of Allah, kindled,

Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)

Thus, Allah says,

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ﴿٥﴾

نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ ﴿٦﴾

الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ ﴿٧﴾

And what will make you know what Al-Hutamah is?

The fire of Allah, Al-Muqadah, which leaps up over the hearts.

Thabit Al-Bunani said,

"It will burn them all the way to their hearts while they are still alive.''

Then he said,

"Indeed the torment will reach them.''

Then he cried.

Muhammad bin Ka`b said,

"It (the Fire) will devour every part of his body until it reaches his heart and comes to the level of his throat, then it will return to his body.''

تأكل كل شيء من جسده حتى إذا بلغت فؤاده حذو حلقه ترجع على جسده .

" نار الله الموقدة " المسعرة

أي التي أوقد عليها ألف عام , وألف عام , وألف عام ; فهي غير خامدة ; أعدها الله للعصاة .

I'raab - grammatical analysis of the Qur'an

«نارُ اللَّهِ» خبر لمبتدأ محذوف ولفظ الجلالة مضاف إليه «الْمُوقَدَةُ» صفة نار والجملة بدل من الحطمة.
