Tafseer (English)
The Lesson taken from the Destroyed Towns
When Allah mentioned the story of the Prophets and what happened with them and their nations -- how He destroyed the disbelievers and saved the believers -- He goes on to say,
ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَنبَاء الْقُرَى ...
That is some of the news of the (population of) towns,
meaning, news of them
... نَقُصُّهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا قَآئِمٌ ...
which We relate unto you; of them, some are (still) standing,
This means still remaining.
... وَحَصِيدٌ ﴿١٠٠﴾
and some have been (already) reaped.
This means totally destroyed.
Tafseer (Arabic)
لما ذكر تعالى خبر الأنبياء وما جرى لهم مع أممهم وكيف أهلك الكافرين ونجى المؤمنين قال" ذلك من أنباء القرى " أي أخبارهم " نقصه عليك منها قائم " أي عامر " وحصيد " أي هالك .
"ذلك" المذكور مبتدأ خبره "من أنباء القرى نقصه عليك" يا محمد "منها" أي القرى "قائم" هلك أهله دونه "وحصيد" "و" منها "حصيد" هلك بأهله فلا أثر له كالزرع المحصود بالمناجل
" ذلك " رفع على إضمار مبتدأ , أي الأمر ذلك . وإن شئت بالابتداء ; والمعنى : ذلك النبأ المتقدم من أنباء القرى نقصه عليك .
I'raab - grammatical analysis of the Qur'an
«ذلِكَ» ذا اسم إشارة مبتدأ والكاف للخطاب.
«مِنْ أَنْباءِ» متعلقان بالخبر المحذوف.
«الْقُرى » مضاف إليه.
«نَقُصُّهُ» مضارع والهاء مفعوله وفاعله مستتر والجملة خبر ثان.
«عَلَيْكَ» متعلقان بنقصه.
«مِنْها» متعلقان بمحذوف خبر مقدم.
«قائِمٌ» مبتدأ مؤخر.
«وَحَصِيدٌ» معطوف على قائم والجملة مستأنفة.
