WaAAadan wathamooda waqad tabayyana lakum min masakinihim wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli wakanoo mustabsireena
Da Ãdawa da Samũdãwa alhãli kuwa lalle alãmun azãba sun bayyana a gare su daga gidãjensu kuma Shaiɗan ya ƙawãta musu ayyukansu, sabõda haka ya kange su daga hanyar Allah, kuma sun kasance mãsu basĩra!
The Destruction of Nations Who rejected Their Messengers
Allah tells:
وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَقَد تَّبَيَّنَ لَكُم مِّن مَّسَاكِنِهِمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَكَانُوا مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ ﴿٣٨﴾
وَقَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَلَقَدْ جَاءهُم مُّوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ ﴿٣٩﴾
And `Ad and Thamud! And indeed (their destruction) is clearly apparent to you from their (ruined) dwellings. Shaytan made their deeds fair seeming to them, and turned them away from the path, though they were intelligent.
And Qarun, Fir`awn, and Haman.
And indeed Musa came to them with clear Ayat, but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us.
Allah tells us about these nations who disbelieved in their Messengers, and how He destroyed them and sent various kinds of punishments and vengeance upon them.
`Ad, the people of Hud, peace be upon him, used to live in the Ahqaf (curved sand-hills), near Hadramawt, in the Yemen.
Thamud, the people of Salih, lived in Al-Hijr, near Wadi Al-Qura. The Arabs used to know their dwelling place very well, and they often used to pass by it.
Qarun was the owner of great wealth and had the keys to immense treasures.
Fir`awn, the king of Egypt at the time of Musa, and his minister Haman were two Coptics who disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, peace be upon him.
يخبر تعالى عن هؤلاء الأمم المكذبة للرسل كيف أبادهم وتنوع في عذابهم وأخذهم بالانتقام منهم فعاد قوم هود عليه السلام كانوا يسكنون الأحقاف وهي قريبة من حضرموت ببلاد اليمن وثمود قوم صالح كانوا يسكنون الحجر قريبا من وادي القرى . وكانت العرب تعرف مساكنهما جيدا وتمر عليها كثيرا .
"و" أهلكنا "عاد وثمود" بالصرف وتركه بمعنى الحي والقبيلة "وقد تبين لكم" إهلاكهم "من مساكنهم" بالحجر واليمن "وزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم" من الكفر والمعاصي "فصدهم عن السبيل" سبيل الحق "وكانوا مستبصرين" ذوي بصائر
قال الكسائي : قال بعضهم هو راجع إلي أول السورة أي ولقد فتنا الذين من قبلهم وفتنا عادا وثمود قال : وأحب إلي أن يكون معطوفا على " فأخذتهم الرجفة " وأخذت عادا وثمود وزعم الزجاج : أن التقدير وأهلكنا عادا وثمود وقيل : المعنى واذكر عادا إذ أرسلنا إليهم هودا فكذبوه فأهلكناهم وثمود أيضا أرسلنا إليهم صالحا فكذبوه فأهلكناهم بالصيحة كما أهلكنا عادا بالريح العقيم
«وَ» الواو حرف عطف «عاداً» مفعول به لفعل محذوف «وَثَمُودَ» معطوف على عادا والجملة معطوفة على ما قبلها. «وَ» الواو حالية «قَدْ تَبَيَّنَ» قد حرف تحقيق وماض فاعله مستتر «لَكُمْ» متعلقان بالفعل «مِنْ مَساكِنِهِمْ» متعلقان بالفعل أيضا والجملة حال. «وَزَيَّنَ» معطوف على تبين «لَهُمُ» متعلقان بالفعل «الشَّيْطانُ» فاعل «أَعْمالَهُمْ» مفعول به «فَصَدَّهُمْ» الفاء حرف عطف وماض ومفعوله والفاعل مستتر «عَنِ السَّبِيلِ» متعلقان بالفعل والجملة معطوفة على ما قبلها «وَكانُوا مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ» الواو حرف عطف وكان واسمها وخبرها والجملة معطوفة على ما قبلها
