أَمِ
اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ
وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ

أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاء قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئاً وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Ami ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi shufaAAaa qul awalaw kanoo la yamlikoona shayan wala yaAAqiloona

Kõ kuma sun riƙi mãsu cħto ne, waɗansun Allah? Ka ce: "Shin, kuma kõ dã sun kasance bã su da mallakar kõme, kuma bã su hankalta?"
What! Do they take for intercessors others besides Allah? Say: "Even if they have no power whatever and no intelligence?"
Or have they taken intercessors besides Allah? Say: what! even though they did not ever have control over anything, nor do they understand.
Or choose they intercessors other than Allah? Say: What! Even though they have power over nothing and have no intelligence?

There is no Intercession except with Allah, and how the Idolators are filled with Disgust when Allah is mentioned alone
Allah says,
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاء قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾
قُل لِّلَّهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيعًا ...
Have they taken as intercessors besides Allah?
Say: "Even if they have power over nothing whatever and have no intelligence!''
Say: "To Allah belongs all intercession.
Allah condemns the idolators for taking intercessors besides Allah, namely the idols and false gods whom they have taken on the basis of their own whims, with no evidence or proof. These idols are not able to do anything; they have no minds with which to think, and they cannot hear or see. They are inanimate and are much worse off than animals.
Then Allah says:
`Say -- O Muhammad -- to these people who claim that those whom they have taken as intercessors with Allah, that intercession is of no avail except for the one with whom Allah is pleased and to whom He has granted permission to intercede. The whole matter rests with Him.'
مَن ذَا الَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ
Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission! (2:255)
... لَّهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ...
His is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth.
means, He is the One Who is in control of all that.
... ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾
Then to Him you shall be brought back.
means, `on the Day of Resurrection, then He will judge between you with His justice, and He will reward or punish each person according to his deeds.'
يقول تعالى ذاما للمشركين في اتخاذهم شفعاء من دون الله وهم الأصنام والأنداد التي اتخذوها من تلقاء أنفسهم بلا دليل ولا برهان هداهم على ذلك وهي لا تملك شيئا من الأمر بل وليس لها عقل تعقل به ولا سمع تسمع به ولا بصر تبصر به بل هي جمادات أسوأ حالا من الحيوان بكثير .
"أم" بل "اتخذوا من دون الله" أي الأصنام آلهة "شفعاء" عند الله بزعمهم "قل" لهم "أولو كانوا لا يملكون شيئا" يشفعون من الشفاعة وغيرها "ولا يعقلون" أنكم تعبدونهم ولا غير ذلك ؟ لا
أي بل اتخذوا يعني الأصنام وفي الكلام ما يتضمن لم ; أي " إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يتفكرون " لم يتفكروا ولكنهم اتخذوا آلهتهم شفعاء .

«أَمِ» حرف عطف «اتَّخَذُوا» ماض وفاعله والجملة مستأنفة «مِنْ دُونِ» متعلقان باتخذوا «اللَّهِ» لفظ الجلالة مضاف إليه «شُفَعاءَ» مفعول به «قُلْ» أمر فاعله مستتر «أَوَلَوْ» الهمزة حرف استفهام إنكاري والواو حالية ولو شرطية «كانُوا» كان واسمها «لا» نافية «يَمْلِكُونَ» مضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعله والجملة خبر كان وجملة كانوا حالية «شَيْئاً» مفعول به «وَلا يَعْقِلُونَ» معطوف.
