أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً شَدِيداً فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَدْ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْراً
aAAadda Allahu lahum AAathaban shadeedan faittaqoo Allaha ya olee alalbabi allatheena amanoo qad anzala Allahu ilaykum thikran

Allah Ya yi musu tattalin wata azãba mai tsanani. Sabõda haka ku bi Allah da taƙawa, yã ma´abũta hankula, waɗanda suka yi ĩmãni! Haƙĩƙa Allah Ya saukar da wata tunãtarwa zuwa gare ku.
Allah has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for Allah hath indeed sent down to you a Message,-
Allah has prepared for them severe chastisement, therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah, O men of understanding who believe! Allah has indeed revealed to you a reminder,
Allah hath prepared for them stern punishment; so keep your duty to Allah, O men of understanding! O ye who believe! Now Allah hath sent down unto you a reminder,
Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)
فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا ...
So it tasted the evil result of its affair,
meaning, they tasted the evil consequences of defiance and they regretted their actions when regret does not avail,
... وَكَانَ عَاقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا ﴿٩﴾
أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا ...
and the consequence of its affair was loss. And Allah has prepared for them a severe torment.
means, in the Hereafter, added to the torment that was sent down on them in this life. Allah the Exalted said, after mentioning what happened to the disbelieving nations,
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ ...
So have Taqwa of Allah, O men of understanding,
meaning, `O you who have sound understanding, do not be like them because if you do, you will suffer what they suffered, O people of comprehension,'
... الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ...
who believe,
meaning, in Allah and His Messengers,
...قَدْ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْرًا ﴿١٠﴾
Allah has indeed sent down to you a Reminder.
meaning, this Qur'an.
Allah also said,
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَـفِظُونَ
Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr and surely, We will preserve it. (15:9)
" فاتقوا الله يا أولي الألباب " أي الأفهام المستقيمة لا تكونوا مثلهم فيصيبكم ما أصابهم يا أولي الألباب" الذين آمنوا " أي صدقوا بالله ورسوله " قد أنزل الله إليكم ذكرا " يعني القرآن كقوله تعالى" إنا نحن نزلنا الذكر وإنا له لحافظون ".
"أعد الله لهم عذابا شديدا" تكرير الوعيد توكيد "فاتقوا الله يا أولي الألباب" أصحاب العقول "الذين آمنوا" نعت للمنادى أو بيان له "قد أنزل الله إليكم ذكرا" هو القرآن
بين ذلك الخسر وأنه عذاب جهنم في الآخرة .
I'raab - grammatical analysis of the Qur'an
«أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ» ماض وفاعله «لَهُمْ» متعلقان بالفعل والجملة استئنافية لا محل لها «عَذاباً» مفعول به «شَدِيداً» صفة «فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ» الفاء الفصيحة وأمر وفاعله ولفظ الجلالة مفعول به والجملة جواب شرط مقدر لا محل لها. «يا أُولِي» يا حرف نداء ومنادى مضاف «الْأَلْبابِ» مضاف إليه «الَّذِينَ» بدل «آمَنُوا» ماض وفاعله «قَدْ» حرف تحقيق والجملة صلة «أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ» ماض وفاعله «إِلَيْكُمْ» متعلقان بالفعل «ذِكْراً» مفعول به والجملة حال.
