بِكُمْ جَانِبَ الْبَرِّ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِباً ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُواْ لَكُمْ

أَمْ أَمِنتُمْ أَن يُعِيدَكُمْ فِيهِ تَارَةً أُخْرَى فَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَاصِفا مِّنَ الرِّيحِ فَيُغْرِقَكُم بِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُواْ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ تَبِيعاً
Am amintum an yuAAeedakum feehi taratan okhra fayursila AAalaykum qasifan mina alrreehi fayughriqakum bima kafartum thumma la tajidoo lakum AAalayna bihi tabeeAAan

Ko kun amince ga Ya mayar da ku a cikin tħkun a wani lõkaci na dabam, sa´an na Ya aika wata gũguwa mai karya abũbuwa daga iska, har ya nutsar da ku sabõda abin da kuka yi na kãfirci? Sa´an nan kuma bã ku sãmun mai bin hakki sabõda ku, a kanMu, game da Shi.
Or do ye feel secure that He will not send you back a second time to sea and send against you a heavy gale to drown you because of your ingratitude, so that ye find no helper. Therein against Us?
Or, do you feel secure that He will (not) take you back into it another time, then send on you a fierce gale and thus drown you on account of your ungratefulness? Then you shall not find any aider against Us in the matter.
Or feel ye secure that He will not return you to that (plight) a second time, and send against you a hurricane of wind and drown you for your thanklessness, and then ye will not find therein that ye have any avenger against Us?
Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)
Perhaps He will send You back to the Sea
Allah says,
أَمْ أَمِنتُمْ ...
Or do you feel secure,
`you who turn away from Us after acknowledging Our Oneness at sea once you are back upon dry land,'
... أَن يُعِيدَكُمْ فِيهِ تَارَةً أُخْرَى ...
that He will not send you back a second time to sea
... فَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَاصِفا مِّنَ الرِّيحِ ...
and send against you a Qasif,
which will destroy your masts and sink your vessels.
Ibn Abbas and others said,
"Al-Qasif is the wind of the sea which destroys vessels and sinks them.''
... فَيُغْرِقَكُم بِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ ...
and drown you because of your disbelief,
means because of your rejection and turning away from Allah.
... ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُواْ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ تَبِيعًا ﴿٦٩﴾
Then you will not find any avenger therein against Us.
Ibn Abbas said that this means a helper.
Mujahid said,
"A helper who will avenge you,''
i.e., take revenge on your behalf.
Qatadah said it means,
"We are not afraid that anyone will pursue Us with anything of that nature (i.e., vengeance).''
يقول تبارك وتعالى " أم أمنتم " أيها المعرضون عنا بعدما اعترفوا بتوحيدنا في البحر وخرجوا إلى البر " أن يعيدكم " في البحر مرة ثانية " فيرسل عليكم قاصفا من الريح " أي يقصف الصواري ويغرق المراكب قال ابن عباس وغيره : القاصف ريح البحار التي تكسر المراكب وتغرقها وقوله " فيغرقكم بما كفرتم " أي بسبب كفركم وإعراضكم عن الله تعالى وقوله " ثم لا تجدوا لكم علينا به تبيعا " قال ابن عباس نصيرا وقال مجاهد نصيرا ثائرا أي يأخذ بثأركم بعدكم . وقال قتادة ولا نخاف أحدا يتبعنا بشيء من ذلك .
"فيه" أي البحر "تارة" مرة "قاصفا من الريح" أي ريحا شديدة لا تمر بشيء إلا قصفته فتكسر فلككم "فيغرقكم بما كفرتم" بكفركم "تبيعا" ناصرا وتابعا يطالبنا بما فعلنا بكم
يعني في البحر .
