Kuma ƙasã Mun shimfiɗa ta, To, madalla da mãsu shimfiɗãwa, Mũ,
Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)
وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا ...
And We have made the earth a Firash,
meaning, `We have made it a resting place for the created,'
... فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾
how excellent a spreader (thereof) are We!,
meaning, `We spread it for its inhabitants,'
" والأرض فرشناها" أي جعلناها فراشا للمخلوقات " فنعم الماهدون" أي وجعلناها مهدا لأهلها .
"والأرض فرشناها" مهدناها "فنعم الماهدون" نحن
أي بسطناها كالفراش على وجه الماء ومددناها .

«وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْناها» معطوف على السماء بنيناها.
«فَنِعْمَ» الفاء حرف عطف وماض جامد لإنشاء المدح.
«الْماهِدُونَ» فاعل.
