وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ

Walam naku nutAAimu almiskeena

&quotKuma ba mu kasance muna ciyar da matalautã ba.&quot

"Nor were we of those who fed the indigent;

And we used not to feed the poor;

Nor did we feed the wretched.

مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ ﴿٤٢﴾

قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ ﴿٤٣﴾

وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ ﴿٤٤﴾

"What has caused you to enter Hell''

They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer the Salah, nor did we feed the poor.''

meaning, `we did not worship Allah, nor did we do good to His creatures of our own species (i.e., other people).'
