خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ وَقَدْ كَانُوا يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَالِمُونَ

Hausa Translation

Su fito da idãnu ƙasƙantattu, wulãkanci yana rufe su. Lalle ne a dã sun kasance anã kiran su zuwa, yin sujũdar, alhãli kuwa sunã lãfiya lau, (suka ƙi yi).

Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).
Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe.
With eyes downcast, abasement stupefying them. And they had been summoned to prostrate themselves while they were yet unhurt.

Concerning Allah's statement,

خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ...

Their eyes will be cast down and ignominy will cover them;

means, in the final abode, due to their crimes and arrogance in the worldly life. Thus they will be punished with the opposite of what they did.

... وَقَدْ كَانُوا يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَالِمُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

they used to be called to prostrate themselves, while they were whole, (and had refused).

When they were called to prostrate in the worldly life, they refused to do so even though they were healthy and secure. Therefore, they will be punished with the lack of ability to do so in the Hereafter. When the Almighty Lord makes Himself visible (before the believers), then the believers will fall down in prostration to Him, but no one of the disbelievers and hypocrites will be able to prostrate. rather, their backs will become one plate. Every time one of them attempts to prostrate, he will bow his neck but will not be able to prostrate. This is just like in the life of this world, when these people were in opposition to what the believers were doing.

وقوله تعالى " خاشعة أبصارهم ترهقهم ذلة " أي في الدار الآخرة بإجرامهم وتكبرهم في الدنيا فعوقبوا بنقيض ما كانوا عليه ولما دعوا إلى السجود في الدنيا فامتنعوا منه مع صحتهم وسلامتهم كذلك عوقبوا بعدم قدرتهم عليه في الآخرة إذا تجلى الرب عز وجل فيسجد له المؤمنون ولا يستطيع أحد من الكافرين ولا المنافقين أن يسجد بل يعود ظهر أحدهم طبقا واحدا كلما أراد أحدهم أن يسجد خر لقفاه عكس السجود كما كانوا في الدنيا بخلاف ما عليه المؤمنون .

"خاشعة" حال من ضمير يدعون أي ذليلة "أبصارهم" لا يرفعونها "ترهقهم" تغشاهم "ذلة وقد كانوا يدعون" في الدنيا "إلى السجود وهم سالمون" فلا يأتون به بأن لا يصلوا

أي ذليلة متواضعة ; ونصبها على الحال .

«خاشِعَةً» حال «أَبْصارُهُمْ» فاعل خاشعة «تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ» مضارع ومفعوله وفاعل مؤخر والجملة حال ثانية «وَ» الواو للحال «قَدْ» حرف تحقيق «كانُوا» كان واسمها «يُدْعَوْنَ» مضارع مبني للمجهول والواو نائب فاعل «إِلَى السُّجُودِ» متعلقان بالفعل والجملة خبر كانوا وجملة قد كانوا .. حالية «وَهُمْ سالِمُونَ» مبتدأ وخبره والجملة حال.

خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ
