Mentioning Allah's Power, and the Proof of His Ability to resurrect the Dead
Then, Allah begins to explain His great ability to create strange things and amazing matters. He brings this as a proof of His ability to do whatever He wishes concerning the matter of the Hereafter and other matters as well.
He says,
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا ﴿٦﴾
Have We not made the earth as a bed,
meaning, an established, firm and peaceful resting place that is subservient to them.
شرع تبارك وتعالى يبين قدرته العظيمة على خلق الأشياء الغريبة والأمور العجيبة الدالة على قدرته على ما يشاء من أمر المعاد وغيره فقال ألم نجعل الأرض مهادا أي ممهدة للخلائق ذلولا لهم قارة ساكنة ثابتة .
" ألم نجعل الأرض مهادا " فراشا كالمهد
دلهم على قدرته على البعث ; أي قدرتنا على إيجاد هذه الأمور أعظم من قدرتنا على الإعادة . والمهاد : الوطاء والفراش . وقد قال تعالى : " الذي جعل لكم الأرض فراشا " [ البقرة : 22 ] وقرئ " مهدا " . ومعناه أنها لهم كالمهد للصبي , وهو ما يمهد له فينوم عليه
