وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ
عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَاباً شَدِيداً وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا
عَذَاباً نُّكْراً

قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَى رَبِّهِ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَاباً نُّكْراً
Qala amma man thalama fasawfa nuAAaththibuhu thumma yuraddu ila rabbihi fayuAAaththibuhu AAathaban nukran

Ya ce: "Amma wanda ya yi zãlunci, to zã mu azabta shi, sa´an nan a mayar da shi zuwa ga Ubangijinsa, sai kuma Ya yi masa azãba, azãba abar ƙyãma."
He said: "Whoever doth wrong, him shall we punish; then shall he be sent back to his Lord; and He will punish him with a punishment unheard-of (before).
He said: As to him who is injust, we will chastise him, then shall he be returned to his Lord, and He will chastise him with an exemplary chastisement:
He said: As for him who doeth wrong, we shall punish him, and then he will be brought back unto his Lord, Who will punish him with awful punishment!
Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)
قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ...
He said: "As for him who does wrong,
meaning who persists in his Kufr and in associating others in worship with his Lord,
... فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُ ...
we shall punish him,
Qatadah said, i.e., by killing him.
... ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَى رَبِّهِ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا ﴿٨٧﴾
and then he will be brought back unto his Lord, Who will punish him with a terrible torment.
meaning a severe, far-reaching and painful punishment.
This implies a confirmation of the Hereafter and the reward and punishment.
في قوله " أما من ظلم " أي استمر على كفره وشركه بربه فسوف نعذبه قال قتادة بالقتل وقال السدي كان يحمي لهم بقر النحاس ويضعهم فيها حتى يذوبوا . وقال وهب بن منبه كان يسلط الظلمة فتدخل أجوافهم وبيوتهم وتغشاهم من جميع جهاتهم والله أعلم. وقوله " ثم يرد إلى ربه فيعذبه عذابا نكرا " أي شديدا بليغا وجيعا أليما وفي هذا إثبات المعاد والجزاء .
"قال أما من ظلم" بالشرك "فسوف نعذبه" نقتله "ثم يرد إلى ربه فيعذبه عذابا نكرا" بسكون الكاف وضمها شديدا في النار
أي من أقام على الكفر منكم .
