إِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَى وَلَا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاء

Ka ce: "Abin sani, inã yi muku gargaɗi kawai da wahayi," kuma kurma ba ya jin kira a lõkacin da ake yi musu gargaɗi.
Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!
Say: I warn you only by revelation; and the deaf do not hear the call whenever they are warned.
Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned.
Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ ...
Say: "I warn you only by the revelation.''
meaning, `I only convey to you the warning of Allah's punishment and vengeance, and this is no more than that which Allah reveals to me.' But this is of no benefit to the one whom Allah has made blind and has put a seal over his hearing and his heart.
He says:
... وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاء إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾
But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned.
وقوله " قل إنما أنذركم بالوحي " أي إنما أنا مبلغ عن الله ما أنذرتكم به من العذاب والنكال ليس ذلك إلا عما أوحاه الله إلي ولكن لا يجدي هذا عمن أعمى الله بصيرته وختم على سمعه وقلبه ولهذا قال " ولا يسمع الصم الدعاء إذا ما ينذرون " .
"قل" لهم "إنما أنذركم بالوحي" من الله لا من قبل نفسي "ولا يسمع الصم الدعاء إذا" بتحقيق الهمزتين وتسهيل الثانية بينها وبين الياء "ما ينذرون" هم لتركهم العمل بما سمعوه من الإنذار كالصم
أي أخوفكم وأحذركم بالقرآن .

«قُلْ» أمر فاعله مستتر والجملة مستأنفة «إِنَّما» كافة ومكفوفة «أُنْذِرُكُمْ» مضارع ومفعوله وفاعله مستتر والجملة مقول القول «بِالْوَحْيِ» متعلقان بأنذركم «وَلا» الواو عاطفة «لا» نافية «يَسْمَعُ» مضارع «الصُّمُّ» فاعل «الدُّعاءَ» مفعول به والجملة معطوفة «إِذا» ظرفية «ما» زائدة «يُنْذَرُونَ» مضارع مبني للمجهول والواو نائب فاعل والجملة مضاف إليه
