The Call to contemplate the various Manifestations of Allah's Power
Allah says,
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٦﴾
Did We not destroy the ancients?
meaning, those who rejected the Messengers and opposed what they came to them with.
يعني من المكذبين للرسل المخالفين لما جاءوهم به .
"ألم نهلك الأولين" بتكذيبهم أي أهلكناهم
أخبر عن إهلاك الكفار من الأمم الماضين من لدن آدم إلى محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم .
