مِن وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا شَيْئاً وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاء وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Min waraihim jahannamu wala yughnee AAanhum ma kasaboo shayan wala ma ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa walahum AAathabun AAatheemun

Gaba gare su (a Lãhira) akwai Jahannama, kuma abin da suka sanã´anta bã ya wadãtar da su daga kõme, kuma abũbuwan da suka riƙa majiɓinta, baicin Allah, bã su wãdatar da su daga kõme. Kuma sunã da wata azãba mai girma.
In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty.
Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment.
Beyond them there is hell, and that which they have earned will naught avail them, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.
Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)
مِن وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ...
In front of them there is Hell.
meaning, all those who have these evil characteristics will end up in Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection,
... وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا شَيْئًا ...
And that which they have earned will be of no profit to them,
i.e. their wealth and children will not avail them,
... وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاء ...
nor those whom they have taken as protecting friends besides Allah.
i.e. nor will the false gods that they worshipped besides Allah benefit them in the least,
... وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ﴿١٠﴾
And theirs will be a great torment.
Allah the Exalted said,
ثم فسر العذاب الحاصل له يوم معاده فقال من ورائهم جهنم أي كل من اتصف بذلك سيصيرون إلى جهنم يوم القيامة ولا يغني عنهم ما كسبوا شيئا أي لا تنفعهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم ولا ما اتخذوا من دون الله أولياء أي ولا تغني عنهم الآلهة التي عبدوها من دون الله شيئا ولهم عذاب عظيم .
"من ورائهم" أي أمامهم لأنهم في الدنيا "جهنم ولا يغني عنهم ما كسبوا" من المال والفعال "شيئا ولا اتخذوا من دون الله" أي الأصنام
أي من وراء ما هم فيه من التعزز في الدنيا والتكبر عن الحق جهنم . وقال ابن عباس : " من ورائهم جهنم " أي أمامهم , نظيره : " من ورائه جهنم ويسقى من ماء صديد " [ إبراهيم : 16 ] أي من أمامه . قال : أليس ورائي إن تراخت منيتي أدب مع الولدان أزحف كالنسر

«مِنْ وَرائِهِمْ» جار ومجرور متعلقان بمحذوف خبر مقدم «جَهَنَّمُ» مبتدأ مؤخر «وَلا» الواو حالية ولا نافية «يُغْنِي» مضارع مرفوع «عَنْهُمْ» متعلقان بالفعل «ما» فاعل والجملة حال «كَسَبُوا» ماض وفاعله «شَيْئاً» مفعوله والجملة صلة ما «وَلا مَا اتَّخَذُوا» معطوف على ما كسبوا «مِنْ دُونِ» متعلقان بمحذوف حال «اللَّهِ» لفظ الجلالة مضاف إليه «أَوْلِياءَ» مفعول به «وَلَهُمْ» الواو حرف عطف وجار ومجرور خبر مقدم «عَذابٌ» مبتدأ مؤخر «عَظِيمٌ» صفة والجملة معطوفة على ما قبلها «هذا هُدىً» مبتدأ وخبره والجملة مستأنفة
