The Consequences for the Disbelievers
Here Allah consoles His Prophet Muhammad for the disbelief of those among his people who opposed him.
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ ﴿٤٢﴾
وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ ﴿٤٣﴾
وَأَصْحَابُ مَدْيَنَ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَى ...
And if they deny you, so did deny before them the people of Nuh, `Ad and Thamud. And the people of Ibrahim and the people of Lut, And the dwellers of Madyan; and denied was Musa.
means, despite all the clear signs and evidence that they brought.
يقول تعالى مسليا لنبيه محمد في تكذيب من خالفه من قومه " وإن يكذبوك فقد كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح - إلى أن قال - وكذب موسى " أي مع ما جاء به من الآيات البينات والدلائل الواضحات .
هذا تسلية للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وتعزية ; أي كان قبلك أنبياء كذبوا فصبروا إلى أن أهلك الله المكذبين , فاقتد بهم واصبر .
