وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ مَا لاَ يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـؤُلاء شُفَعَاؤُنَا عِندَ اللّهِ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّئُونَ اللّهَ بِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloona haolai shufaAAaona AAinda Allahi qul atunabbioona Allaha bima la yaAAlamu fee alssamawati wala fee alardi subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

Kuma sunã bautã wa, baicin Allah, abin da bã ya cũtar dasu kuma bã ya amfãninsu, kuma sunã cħwa: "Waɗannan ne macħtanmu a wurin Allah."Ka ce: "Shin, kunã bai wa Allah lãbãri ne, ga abin da bai sani ba, a cikin sammai ko a cikin ƙasa? TsarkinSa ya tabbata kuma Yã ɗaukaka daga abin da duk suke yin shirki da Shi."
They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!"
And they serve beside Allah what can neither harm them nor profit them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you (presume to) inform Allah of what He knows not in the heavens and the earth? Glory be to Him, and supremely exalted is He above what they set up (with Him).
They worship beside Allah that which neither hurteth them nor profiteth them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that ye associate (with Him)!

What do the Idolators believe about Their Gods
Allah says;
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ مَا لاَ يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـؤُلاء شُفَعَاؤُنَا عِندَ اللّهِ ...
And they worship besides Allah things that harm them not, nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah.''
Allah reproaches the idolators that worshipped others beside Allah, thinking that those gods would intercede for them before Allah. Allah states that these gods do not harm or benefit. They don't have any authority over anything, nor do they own anything. These gods can never do what the idolators had claimed about them.
That is why Allah said:
... قُلْ أَتُنَبِّئُونَ اللّهَ بِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ ...
Say: `Do you inform Allah of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth!'
Ibn Jarir said:
"This means, `Are you telling Allah about what may not happen in the heavens and earth.'
Allah then announced that His Glorious Self is far above their Shirk and Kufr by saying:
... سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿١٨﴾
Glorified and Exalted is He above all that which they associate as partners (with Him)!
ينكر تعالى على المشركين الذين عبدوا مع الله غيره ظانين أن تلك الآلهة تنفعهم شفاعتها عند الله فأخبر تعالى أنها لا تضر ولا تنفع ولا تملك شيئا ولا يقع شيء مما يزعمون فيها ولا يكون هذا أبدا ولهذا قال تعالى " قل أتنبئون الله بما لا يعلم في السموات ولا في الأرض " وقال ابن جرير : معناه أتخبرون الله بما لا يكون في السموات ولا في الأرض ؟ ثم نزه نفسه الكريمة عن شركهم وكفرهم فقال " سبحانه وتعالى عما يشركون " .
"ويعبدون من دون الله" أي غيره "ما لا يضرهم" إن لم يعبدوه "ولا ينفعهم" إن عبدوه وهو الأصنام "ويقولون" عنها "هؤلاء شفعاؤنا عند الله قل" لهم "أتنبئون الله" تخبرونه "بما لا يعلم في السماوات ولا في الأرض" استفهام إنكار إذ لو كان له شريك لعلمه إذ لا يخفى عليه شيء "سبحانه" تنزيها له "وتعالى عما يشركون" ـه معه
يريد الأصنام .
I'raab - grammatical analysis of the Qur'an
«وَيَعْبُدُونَ» الواو استئنافية ومضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعل والجملة مستأنفة.
«مِنْ دُونِ» متعلقان بيعبدون.
«اللَّهِ» لفظ الجلالة مضاف إليه.
«ما» اسم موصول مفعول به.
«لا» نافية.
«يَضُرُّهُمْ» مضارع ومفعوله والفاعل مستتر والجملة صلة.
«وَلا يَنْفَعُهُمْ» معطوفة على ما قبلها وإعرابها مثله.
«وَيَقُولُونَ» الواو عاطفة ومضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعل والجملة معطوفة.
«هؤُلاءِ» الها للتنبيه واسم الإشارة مبتدأ.
«شُفَعاؤُنا» خبر ونا مضاف إليه والجملة مقول القول.
«عِنْدَ» ظرف مكان متعلق بشفعاء.
«اللَّهِ» لفظ الجلالة مضاف إليه.
«قُلْ» أمر فاعله مستتر والجملة مستأنفة.
«أَتُنَبِّئُونَ» الهمزة للاستفهام ومضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعل والجملة مقول القول.
«اللَّهِ» لفظ الجلالة مفعول به.
«بِما» ما موصولية مجرورة بالباء ومتعلقان بتنبئون.
«لا» نافية.
«يَعْلَمُ» مضارع فاعله مستتر والجملة صلة.
«فِي السَّماواتِ» متعلقان بحال محذوفة.
«وَلا» الواو عاطفة ولا زائدة.
«فِي الْأَرْضِ» معطوفة على السموات.
«سُبْحانَهُ» مفعول مطلق لفعل محذوف والهاء مضاف إليه والجملة مستأنفة.
«وَتَعالى » الواو عاطفة وماض مبني على الفتح المقدر على الألف للتعذر وفاعله مستتر والجملة معطوفة.
«عَمَّا» ما موصولية ومجرورة بعن ومتعلقان بتعالى.
