إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ

Lalle ne waɗanda kalmar yabo tã gabãta a garħ su daga garħ Mu, waɗannan waɗanda ake nĩsantarwa daga barinta ne.

Those for whom the good (record) from Us has gone before, will be removed far therefrom.
Surely (as for) those for whom the good has already gone forth from Us, they shall be kept far off from it;
Lo! those unto whom kindness hath gone forth before from Us, they will be far removed from thence.

Asbabu n-Nuzuul (Occasions of Revelation)

(Lo! those unto whom kindness hath gone forth before from Usナ) [21:101]. Abu Umar ibn Ahmad ibn Umar al-Mawardi informed us> Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Nasr al-Razi> Muhammad ibn Ayyub> Ali ibn al-Madini> Yahya ibn Nuh> Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash> Asim> Abu Ruzayn> Abu Yahya> Ibn Abbas who said: モThere is one verse about which people never ask me; I do not know whether they know it and, therefore, do not have to ask about it; or do not know it at all and, hence, do not ask about itヤ. He was asked: モAnd what is this verse?ヤ He said: モWhen the verse (Lo! Ye (idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. Thereunto ye will come) [21:98], the Quraysh were distressed and said: He is insulting our idols. Ibn al-Zibara came along and asked them: What is wrong? They said: He is insulting our idols!
What does he say, he pressed them. They said: He said (Lo! Ye (idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. Thereunto ye will come). He said: Summon him for me! When the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, was called, he said to him: O Muhammad, does this apply
specifically to our idols or to all that is worshipped beside Allah? He said: No, it applies to all that is worshipped besides Allah. Ibn al-Zibara said: You have been dumbfounded by the Lord of this building, meaning the Kabah. Do you not claim that the angels are righteous servants and that Jesus is a righteous
servant and that Uzayr is a righteous servant? Well, the Banu Mulayh worship the angels, the Christians worship Jesus and the Jews worship Uzayr. Upon hearing this, the people of Mecca cried out [of jubilation], and so Allah, exalted is He, revealed (Lo! those unto whom kindness hath gone forth before from Us) the angels, Jesus and Uzayr (they will be far removed from thence)ヤ.

The State of the Blessed

Here Allah tells:

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَى ...

Verily, those for whom the good has preceded from Us,

Ikrimah said,

"Mercy.''

Others said it means being blessed.

... أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ ﴿١٠١﴾

they will be removed far therefrom.

When Allah mentions the people of Hell and their punishment for their associating others in worship with Allah, He follows that with a description of the blessed who believed in Allah and His Messengers. These are the ones for whom the blessing has preceded from Allah, and they did righteous deeds in the world, as Allah says:

لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُواْ الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ

For those who have done good is the best reward and even more. (10:26)

هَلْ جَزَآءُ الإِحْسَـنِ إِلاَّ الإِحْسَـنُ

Is there any reward for good other than good. (55:60)

Just as they did good in this world, Allah will make their final destiny and their reward good; He will save them from punishment and give them a great reward.

... أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا ...

they will be removed far therefrom. They shall not hear the slightest sound of it,

means, they will not feel its heat in their bodies.

وقوله " إن الذين سبقت لهم منا الحسنى" قال عكرمة الرحمة وقال غيره السعادة " أولئك عنها مبعدون " لما ذكر تعالى أهل النار وعذابهم بسبب شركهم بالله عطف بذكر السعداء من المؤمنين بالله ورسوله وهم الذين سبقت لهم من الله السعادة وأسلفوا الأعمال الصالحة في الدنيا كما قال تعالى " للذين أحسنوا الحسنى وزيادة " وقال" هل جزاء الإحسان إلا الإحسان " فكما أحسنوا العمل في الدنيا أحسن الله مآبهم وثوابهم ونجاهم من العذاب وحصل لهم جزيل الثواب .

"إن الذين سبقت لهم منا" المنزلة "الحسنى" ومنهم من ذكر

أي الجنة

«إِنَّ» حرف مشبه بالفعل «الَّذِينَ» اسم موصول اسم إن «سَبَقَتْ» ماض والتاء للتأنيث والجملة صلة «لَهُمْ» و«مِنَّا» كلاهما متعلقان بالفعل «الْحُسْنى » فاعل مرفوع بالضمة المقدرة على الألف للتعذر «أُولئِكَ» اسم الإشارة مبتدأ واللام للبعد والكاف للخطاب «عَنْها» متعلقان بمبعدون «مُبْعَدُونَ» خبر مرفوع بالواو لأنه جمع مذكر سالم والجملة في محل رفع خبر إن
